Main Task: Photoshoot

In School Photo shoot:

I worked with a professional photographer in order to produce multiple photos. I used a canon DSLR in order to take photos using a variety of angles, lighting and types of shots. I enjoyed this task as it gave me the opportunity to take part in a professional photo-shoot but also allowed me to use and improve my photography skills. My ideal shot for my front cover is a mid shot.

First I used a Canon EOS in order to take a few shots of the model with a different more 'artsy' background, a black rugged back ground which reflected the alternative side of indie. This look could relate and immerse the target audience as it is fitting to a primary audience of teenagers. I also used props such as a guitar and amp box and a microphone to also reflect the genre further.

Then the professional photographer showed me how to work a canon camera on a tripod whilst taking frontal mid-shots and long-shots of the model. I also learned how to use different levels of lighting in order to create a variety of photos to fit my magazine.
